Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This is a voltage sag symptom, not a dead battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated. Under that sustained overcurrent, cell voltage drops faster than the indicator tracks — the vacuum feels weak while the gauge still shows charge. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers to full strength, the battery is fine. If sag continues on a clean filter, the cell pack has degraded below usable capacity and needs replacement.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds
This is the BMS overcurrent trip cycling. When the motor encounters sustained resistance — a blocked nozzle, dense carpet, or restricted airflow — current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and it cuts power to protect the cells. The few-second pause is the BMS cooling and resetting. Clear the blockage and check the filter. If cut-outs continue on a clear, unobstructed vacuum, verify the resting cell voltage is at or above 21V before concluding the battery is at fault.
