Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the EP750 series, suction loss often happens well before the battery light signals low charge. The motor in these hand vacuums draws more current when the filter is partially blocked — this pulls the cell voltage down faster than normal discharge would. The BMS reads the voltage sag and begins throttling power to the motor as a protective measure. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-use, then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When restricted airflow forces the motor to work harder, current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output temporarily. The BMS resets once current drops, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Check the filter and the nozzle path for blockages before the next use — if the filter is clear and trips continue, measure resting pack voltage; anything below 14.0V after a full charge indicates cell degradation.
