Shark LV800 Replacement Battery - Replaces XB800

$36.15In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Shark LV800, LV801, and LV801C cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part XB800.
  • 10.8V lithium-ion at 2000mAh delivers 21.6Wh — sufficient capacity for the handheld motor under standard cleaning loads.
  • Connector seats into the battery slot on the handle grip with a single locking tab that clicks left to release.
  • We bench-tested this cell in an LV800 unit; the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault codes and held voltage stable under sustained motor draw.
  • Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge — trickle charging degrades capacity faster than removing the pack when depleted.

About this replacement

Shark LV800 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XB800)

This 10.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the XB800 in the Shark LV800, LV801, and LV801C cordless handheld vacuums. It slots into the same battery bay and uses the same connector and BMS communication as the original. Capacity figures come from the product data — 2000mAh / 21.6Wh.

  • LV800, LV801, LV801C compatibility: These three models share the same 10.8V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A battery that clears the handshake on one will clear it on all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the LV800 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, held the rated voltage under motor load, and tripped the overcurrent protection correctly when suction was blocked.
  • Dock charging habit on the LV800: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging on Li-ion cells accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The LV800 motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder than its rated draw. The BMS reads this elevated current as a voltage sag event and begins throttling power to protect the cell, even when charge capacity is still adequate. The result is noticeably reduced suction with the battery indicator still showing mid-range. Clean or replace the foam and HEPA filters first before concluding the battery is at fault.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when sustained restricted airflow causes a current spike beyond the BMS threshold — the BMS disconnects the cell, the motor stops, and the circuit resets after a brief cooldown. If the motor restarts on its own after a few seconds, the cell and BMS are functioning correctly. Clear the blockage and check the filter; if the trips continue on an unblocked machine, measure resting cell voltage — it should sit at or above 11.1V after a full charge.
