It fits the Sharp Portable Plasmacluster Ion Generator IG-DM1Z-W — a compact personal air ionization unit. When the original cell degrades and can no longer hold enough charge to sustain the ion generation circuit, this replacement restores the device to normal operation.

IG-DM1Z-W alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge
The BMS on the IG-DM1Z-W stores charge thresholds calibrated to the OEM cell's internal resistance profile. A new replacement cell presents a different resistance signature on first boot, which the BMS can misread as a low-state cell even at full charge. This is a calibration gap, not a defective battery. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — charge to full, allow the device to run until it self-terminates, then recharge fully. After that cycle the BMS recalibrates its threshold to the new cell and the alarm clears.
IG-DM1Z-W will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage at roughly 2–3% per month. If the IZ-BTDM1E cell dropped below approximately 2.5V before installation, the IG-DM1Z-W BMS will block power-on entirely as a protection measure — this is normal behaviour, not a failed battery. Connect the device to its charger for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC applies a low-current recovery pulse below 3.0V, which brings the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage recovers past 3.0V, the unit will boot normally.
