- GLXD+ and GLXD1+ transmitter compatibility: These transmitters share the same internal battery bay geometry and BMS handshake protocol across the series. Voltage regulation is handled at the transmitter level, so both handheld and bodypack units accept the same cell without firmware conflict.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on GLXD+ transmitter hardware. The BMS held the charge curve within spec and triggered protection cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold — no erratic shutdowns or false low-battery signals during testing.
- RF transmit draw and cell stability: Sustained RF transmission pulls current in short, repetitive bursts. A cell with poor internal resistance will sag under this load and cause audio artifacts before the indicator reads low. This cell maintained stable voltage under the pulsed transmit draw across the full discharge cycle.
Why the GLXD+ transmitter drops audio mid-performance on a new battery
A new battery that drops audio is almost always a seating issue, not a cell defect. The GLXD+ battery bay uses spring-loaded contacts, and if the pack is not clicked fully into place, contact resistance spikes under transmit load. This causes momentary voltage drops that the BMS reads as a fault, cutting power briefly before recovering. Remove the pack, check the contact pins for debris, reseat the battery until you hear the latch click, then power on.
Receiver losing lock on the transmitter after a battery swap
When a GLXD+ transmitter loses power and comes back on with a fresh battery, the RF link does not always re-establish automatically. The transmitter rebroadcasts its channel, but the receiver may stay locked on the last known signal state. Power cycle the receiver after swapping the transmitter battery. If the link still does not lock, hold the sync button on both units to force a fresh pairing handshake.
