Solac AE2536 Replacement Battery - Replaces S00001979

$47.89In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Solac AE2536 and AE2536 2JG cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part S00001979.
  • 36V lithium-ion pack with 3500mAh capacity delivers full motor voltage under sustained suction load on this stick vacuum.
  • Flat connector base slides into the battery slot at the rear handle; locking tab secures downward with a firm click.
  • Bench tested on the AE2536 platform — BMS accepted charge in standard dock cycle, no handshake faults, voltage stable under motor draw.
  • Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously after reaching full charge; trickle charging degrades Solac vacuum cells faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

About this replacement

Solac AE2536 Series — 36V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S00001979)

This is a 36V 3500mAh lithium-ion battery built to replace the original pack in the Solac AE2536 and AE2536 2JG cordless stick vacuums. It matches the OEM part number S00001979 and fits the same connector and battery housing as the factory unit. Swapping this in restores full motor power to a vacuum that has lost charge capacity over time.

  • AE2536 and AE2536 2JG compatibility: Both variants run the same 36V motor rail, use the same connector pinout, and expect the same BMS handshake from the battery pack. One replacement cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the AE2536 motor platform. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly at low voltage and did not trip during motor start draw.
  • Dock charging on the AE2536: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous trickle charging through the dock accelerates capacity fade on lithium cells. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock and store the vacuum separately.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the AE2536

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than its rated load. That spike pulls the cell voltage down faster than the indicator circuit tracks, so suction weakens while the LED still shows charge remaining. Check and clean the filter first — a clean filter reduces motor draw and keeps voltage stable across the full discharge. If sag continues after filter cleaning, the original cell has lost enough capacity that it can no longer sustain the current demand, and replacement is the correct fix.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. Sustained restricted airflow — from a blocked filter or blockage in the hose — forces the motor to work harder, drawing current above the BMS protection threshold. The BMS cuts the circuit to protect the cells, then resets after a brief cooldown. Clear any blockage in the hose or brush head, clean the filter, and restart. If trips continue on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, check that the replacement pack BMS is communicating correctly with the AE2536 charger — confirm the pack reaches a full 36V charge before use.
