On the first charge after a cell swap, the SSC051's charge IC applies a reduced current ceiling because the BMS has not yet profiled the new cell's internal resistance. The indicator may hold at 85–95% for an extended period before the final constant-voltage top-up completes. Do not interrupt this charge — pulling the cable early leaves the cell below the 4.1V threshold the device needs to pass its self-test on next boot. Let the charge cycle run to termination and confirm the indicator reaches 4.2V before clinical use.
