This 3.85V, 2800mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Sony Xperia 10 Plus. It fits the i3223, i4293, and i4213 model variants. The OEM part number is 12390586-00, and the cell dimensions match the factory tray at 82.40 × 59.55 × 3.70mm.
- Xperia 10 Plus variant compatibility: The i3223, i4293, and i4213 share the same battery tray geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers all three variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an Xperia 10 Plus unit. The BMS accepted the cell, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and the fuel gauge IC completed its first-cycle calibration pass without fault codes.
- First-cycle calibration tip: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Xperia 10 Plus after a cell swap
The Xperia 10 Plus uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The modem and display draw sudden current spikes that cause the new cell's voltage to dip below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the gauge still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled resets the calibration baseline and eliminates the early shutdowns.
USB-PD fast charge not recognised on the first cycle after replacement
Some replacement cells present a slightly higher impedance on the first charge cycle, which causes the phone's charge IC to reject the USB-PD handshake and fall back to standard 5V charging. This is not a fault with the port or the cable. Complete one full charge cycle at standard speed — the cell's internal impedance drops as it conditions, and the charge IC will accept the fast-charge negotiation on the second cycle. Check the charging indicator in Settings after the second cycle to confirm fast charging is active.
