Why the 91387 alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

Monitor will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage — typically 1–3% per day at room temperature. If the pack voltage drops below approximately 10.8V, the 91387 BMS enters a protection state and blocks normal startup. Charge the battery in the monitor for a minimum of four hours before attempting to power on. If the monitor still shows no response, place it on charge for a further two hours to allow the charge IC to recover the cell from deep discharge.
