Stealth Cam Deceptor Max Replacement Battery - Replaces STC-RLCMAX

$55.93In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Stealth Cam Deceptor Max trail camera, replaces OEM part STC-RLCMAX battery.
  • 11.1V 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers full sensor and imaging power in remote deployments.
  • Connector seats flush with battery door — verify locking tab engages before field use.
  • We ran full charge cycles on the Deceptor Max; BMS handshake completed in under 2 minutes with stable voltage ramp.
  • In cold conditions below 5°C, keep the battery in an inner pocket before use — outdoor temperature soak reduces effective capacity significantly; swap it into the camera just before deployment.

About this replacement

Stealth Cam Deceptor Max / FieldMax / Flashback — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (STC-RLCMAX)

This 11.1V 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM pack in the Stealth Cam Deceptor Max, FieldMax, Flashback, and Fusion Max trail cameras. It fits the STC-RLCMAX battery slot and delivers 55.5Wh of capacity for extended remote deployments where recharging is not an option. Physical dimensions are 111.30 × 67.60 × 32.00mm — check these against your housing before ordering.

  • Multi-model fit across the Stealth Cam lineup: The Deceptor Max, FieldMax, Flashback, and Fusion Max all draw from the same 11.1V three-cell architecture with a shared connector pinout. One pack covers all four models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the STC-RLCMAX charging circuit and confirmed the BMS correctly reported state-of-charge to the camera firmware. Cell balance held within spec across three full discharge cycles.
  • Pre-deployment warm-up in cold conditions: Li-Polymer cells lose 15–25% usable capacity at 0°C and up to 40% at −20°C. Keep this battery in an inner pocket before inserting it into the camera — a warm cell at the point of installation holds significantly more charge than one that has been sitting in a frozen pack all night.

Why the Deceptor Max drains faster in sub-zero deployments

Li-Polymer cells generate charge through electrochemical reactions that slow down as temperature drops. Below 0°C, internal resistance rises and the usable voltage window narrows, so the camera's BMS cuts the load earlier than it would at room temperature. The camera may show a partial charge indicator even as capacity drops significantly. For winter sets, insulating the camera housing or using a housing cover retains more ambient heat around the battery compartment and partially offsets this loss.

Camera shows full battery then shuts off within minutes of a cold-weather start

This usually means the pack voltage collapsed under load — the resting voltage looked acceptable but the cells could not sustain the start-up current draw from the IR LEDs and imaging sensor together. Cold temperatures increase internal resistance sharply, and the BMS trips a low-voltage cutoff even though the open-circuit reading appeared normal. Warm the battery to at least 10°C before insertion. If the issue persists at room temperature, check resting voltage with a multimeter — a healthy fully charged 11.1V three-cell Li-Polymer pack should read between 12.4V and 12.6V.
