SuperHandy 3 Wheel Power Mobility Scooter Plus — 48V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GUO050)
This is a 48V 2000mAh (96Wh) lithium-ion battery for the SuperHandy 3 Wheel Power Mobility Scooter Plus and compatible SuperHandy mobility scooter platforms. It replaces OEM part numbers GUO050, LAB01, and BL481. Fits multiple SuperHandy models including the 4 Wheels Folding Mobility Scooter, 330 LBS Portable Wheelchair, and All Terrain 4 Wheels Mobility Scooter.

- Post-storage conditioning before first ride: After winter storage, charge the battery slowly before riding — cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and fast charging below 10°C causes lithium plating on the anode that permanently reduces capacity. Let the pack reach room temperature first.

A hill start demands peak current in the first half-second — often two to three times the flat-road draw. If the battery's state of charge is below 30%, the BMS may read that current spike as an overload and trip the protection circuit. This cuts power mid-climb and feels like the scooter has failed. The fix is to start from a full charge before tackling inclines and to avoid coasting to near-empty before recharging.

If the cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during long storage, most chargers reject the pack entirely — the charger handshake requires a minimum voltage before it enters bulk-charge mode. The battery isn't necessarily dead. Connect the charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes; some BMS units allow a trickle wake-up that brings cells back above the acceptance threshold. If the charger LED never changes state after an hour, check cell voltage at the pack terminals — below 40V total on a 48V pack means the cells need a bench recovery charge at 0.1C.
