This 25.2V, 1300F HPC battery replaces part number 088132000 (also listed as TA-088132) in the Taurus Ulimited 25.6 and Ulimited 25s cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same charge management circuit as the factory cell. Capacity is 32.76Wh.
- Ulimited 25.6 and 25s compatibility: Both models run the same 25.2V rail, share an identical battery bay form factor, and use the same BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both platforms without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through sustained full-power and pulse-load draw patterns on the Ulimited platform. The BMS responded correctly to simulated blockage events, tripping and recovering without requiring a manual reset.
- Dock charging discipline for the Ulimited platform: Remove the battery from the charging dock as soon as it reaches full charge. Taurus stick vacuums left permanently docked trickle-charge the cell continuously, accelerating capacity fade well before the cell's rated cycle life.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before battery indicator reaches low
On the Ulimited 25.6, suction can drop noticeably while the battery indicator still shows two bars or more. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw current above its rated load, causing voltage to sag at the cell terminals before the BMS flags a low-battery condition. The indicator reads state-of-charge, not motor voltage headroom — those two numbers diverge under restricted airflow. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts on its own
A self-recovering cutout on the Ulimited platform is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor sustains a high-draw stall-adjacent state, and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. Releasing the trigger and waiting a few seconds lets the BMS reset and allows the motor to restart. If the cutout repeats within seconds of restart, check filter restriction and confirm the floor nozzle inlet is not partially obstructed — resolving the blockage drops motor current back within the BMS trip threshold.
