TerraMow S800 / S1200 — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C1276A8)
This is a 21.6V 5000mAh (108Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the TerraMow S800 and S1200 cordless lawn mowers. It replaces OEM part number C1276A8 directly. The battery slots into the mower's battery bay and connects to the blade motor drive system at the same voltage rail as the original pack.
- S800 and S1200 compatibility: Both models run the same 21.6V battery platform and share the C1276A8 form factor, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — so one replacement covers either unit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through simulated blade-motor inrush cycles — the BMS held steady through repeated high-draw spikes without tripping into protection mode under normal load conditions.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before bringing the mower out in spring, bring this battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on a cold pack can trip the BMS before the motor reaches full speed.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The S800 blade motor draws a sharp current spike every time it bites into dense or wet grass. If the pack's state of charge is already low — below roughly 20% — that inrush can push cell voltage briefly under the BMS cutoff threshold, shutting the mower down mid-row. This is protection behaviour, not a fault. Let the pack sit for 60 seconds before restarting; the BMS will re-check cell voltage and allow restart if the resting voltage recovers above the cutoff floor. For consistently heavy grass conditions, start each session on a fully charged pack and avoid mowing wet turf on a partially depleted battery.

A Li-ion pack left in a cold garage over winter can self-discharge below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell. When that happens, the charger sees a pack that looks damaged and refuses to begin a charge cycle, showing a fault or red light. Some chargers include a trickle recovery mode that will slowly bring the pack back up to acceptance voltage over 30–60 minutes before switching to normal charge. If your charger has no recovery mode, check individual cell voltage with a multimeter — if any cell reads below 2.0V, recovery is unlikely. If cells are between 2.0V and 2.5V, a charger with a soft-start or recovery function can usually bring the pack back.
