Teufel Rockster Go 2 Replacement Battery - Replaces INR18650-1S2P

$21.32In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits the Teufel Rockster Go 2 portable speaker, replacing OEM battery part INR18650-1S2P.
  • Supplies 3.7V and 5200mAh capacity — enough charge for multiple full playback cycles before the speaker needs the charger again.
  • Single 18650 cell in series configuration uses a flat connector terminal; seats vertically into the battery bay beneath the speaker chassis.
  • Bench testing showed the BMS accepted charge at standard USB-C rates with no early cutoff; voltage held stable under sustained amplifier draw at full volume.
  • On the Rockster Go 2, discharge the battery below 20% at least once monthly before recharging — constant top-off charging without a full cycle causes fuel gauge drift and capacity fade.

About this replacement

Teufel Rockster Go 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-1S2P)

This 3.7V, 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original INR18650-1S2P cell pack inside the Teufel Rockster Go 2 portable Bluetooth speaker. It restores wireless audio playback when the factory cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • Rockster Go 2 cell format: The Rockster Go 2 runs an 18650-based 1S2P configuration — two cells in parallel at 3.7V nominal. That parallel arrangement doubles capacity while keeping the voltage rail at 3.7V, which the speaker's amplifier and Bluetooth module both require for stable output.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Rockster Go 2 platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — charge current accepted at the expected rate and protection cutoffs triggered at both the low-voltage floor and over-current threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after fitting: After installing a new cell pack, run the speaker down to the low-battery warning before the first recharge. The Rockster Go 2's fuel gauge calibrates its empty reference point on that first deep discharge — skipping it causes the indicator to read inaccurately from day one.

Audio distortion before the battery indicator reaches empty on the Rockster Go 2

As the 18650 cells age, internal resistance rises. Under the combined current draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio at high volume, cell voltage sags below the amplifier's clean-operation threshold before the fuel gauge shows critical. The amplifier clips under that sag — you hear distortion, not actual speaker damage. A fresh 5200mAh pack with lower internal resistance holds the voltage rail stable under the same load, pushing distortion onset back to genuinely low charge levels. If distortion appears early on a new pack, confirm charge voltage reached 4.20V per cell before use.

Rockster Go 2 won't wake from USB-C after sitting unused for weeks

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per month under storage. If the Rockster Go 2 sits long enough, the pack drops below the USB-C Power Delivery minimum acceptance voltage — the charger handshake fails and the speaker appears completely dead. The BMS blocks charge input to protect the cells, so a standard USB-C cable does nothing. Connect a USB source capable of pre-charge trickle current, or leave the cable seated for 15–20 minutes before attempting a power-on — the BMS will re-enable charge input once cell voltage climbs above approximately 2.5V per cell.
