Teufel Rockster Go 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (INR18650-1S2P)
This 3.7V, 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original INR18650-1S2P cell pack inside the Teufel Rockster Go 2 portable Bluetooth speaker. It restores wireless audio playback when the factory cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.
- Rockster Go 2 cell format: The Rockster Go 2 runs an 18650-based 1S2P configuration — two cells in parallel at 3.7V nominal. That parallel arrangement doubles capacity while keeping the voltage rail at 3.7V, which the speaker's amplifier and Bluetooth module both require for stable output.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Rockster Go 2 platform and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — charge current accepted at the expected rate and protection cutoffs triggered at both the low-voltage floor and over-current threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after fitting: After installing a new cell pack, run the speaker down to the low-battery warning before the first recharge. The Rockster Go 2's fuel gauge calibrates its empty reference point on that first deep discharge — skipping it causes the indicator to read inaccurately from day one.

As the 18650 cells age, internal resistance rises. Under the combined current draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio at high volume, cell voltage sags below the amplifier's clean-operation threshold before the fuel gauge shows critical. The amplifier clips under that sag — you hear distortion, not actual speaker damage. A fresh 5200mAh pack with lower internal resistance holds the voltage rail stable under the same load, pushing distortion onset back to genuinely low charge levels. If distortion appears early on a new pack, confirm charge voltage reached 4.20V per cell before use.
Rockster Go 2 won't wake from USB-C after sitting unused for weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per month under storage. If the Rockster Go 2 sits long enough, the pack drops below the USB-C Power Delivery minimum acceptance voltage — the charger handshake fails and the speaker appears completely dead. The BMS blocks charge input to protect the cells, so a standard USB-C cable does nothing. Connect a USB source capable of pre-charge trickle current, or leave the cable seated for 15–20 minutes before attempting a power-on — the BMS will re-enable charge input once cell voltage climbs above approximately 2.5V per cell.
