This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the TomTom Go 530 Live, Go 720, GO 730, and GO 730T portable GPS navigators. It fits the same footprint as the factory cell — 62 x 37 x 5mm — and connects via the same flex connector. Capacity matches OEM spec at 4.81Wh.

- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the GO 730 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, held the charge curve correctly, and reported state-of-charge accurately through the device's battery indicator.
- First-fix satellite acquisition after swap: After fitting this cell, power the GPS on outdoors and let it run a full cold start before driving. Removing all power clears the assisted GPS cache, so the first satellite fix can take 5–10 minutes. Subsequent warm starts return to under a minute.
Saved routes and POIs disappearing after battery replacement
The GO 730 series stores some navigation data in battery-backed volatile memory. When the original cell is fully disconnected, that memory loses power and stored routes or recent destinations can be wiped. Favourites saved to the device's flash memory are not affected — only recently cached trip data held in RAM. Before swapping the cell, sync the device with TomTom HOME or export your routes to avoid losing them.
Device shutting off without warning at low charge
After a long-depleted original battery is replaced with a fresh cell, the device's battery indicator may not be calibrated to the new cell's discharge curve. The GPS can hit its internal voltage cutoff threshold — around 3.2V under load — before the on-screen indicator shows critical. Run two or three full charge-to-cutoff cycles to let the device recalibrate its fuel gauge against the new cell's actual discharge profile.
