The BMS interprets anything under that floor as a damaged or deeply discharged cell and refuses to initialise. This is a protection circuit decision, not a faulty battery. Connect the scanner to a charger for at least 20 minutes before pressing the power button — once the cell clears 3.5V, the BMS releases and the device boots normally.
Wireless connection dropping mid-diagnostic session
The ArtiMINI's Bluetooth and WiFi stack draws additional current during active vehicle communication, and a degraded battery causes the supply voltage to sag enough for the wireless radio to drop the link. This shows up as the scanner freezing mid-scan or returning an incomplete report, even though the battery indicator still reads 30–40%.
