This is a 3.7V, 3150mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Toshiba e740, e750, and e755 Pocket PC PDAs. It replaces OEM part PA3187U-1BRS directly. These Windows Mobile handhelds lose charge capacity over time as the original cell ages — this battery restores the device to full operating voltage.
- e740 / e750 / e755 platform fit: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS voltage thresholds. The 3.7V nominal rail and cell geometry are identical across the series, so one replacement covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the e740 platform. The BMS accepted the cell immediately, reported accurate state-of-charge in the Windows Mobile battery applet, and held voltage above 3.5V through standard PDA workloads.

The e740 uses SRAM for active memory — unlike flash storage, SRAM requires continuous power to hold data. The moment battery voltage drops to zero, all RAM contents are erased. A full sync via ActiveSync to a desktop before the swap writes contacts, calendar, and app data to the host machine. After fitting the new battery, a restore sync brings everything back without loss.

This happens when the replacement cell ships with a low state of charge and the device attempts to boot before the battery reaches minimum threshold voltage. The boot sequence requires stable voltage — if the cell is below approximately 3.4V, the device may loop on the splash screen or refuse to proceed. Connect the e740 to the AC adapter and charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on for the first time.
