Why the Genio E550G goes blank mid-session without warning
Aged Li-Polymer cells develop high internal resistance over charge cycles. Under the combined draw of the display backlight and wireless radio, a degraded cell can drop below the BMS cutoff threshold instantly — even if the charge indicator showed 30–40% moments earlier. The voltage collapse happens faster than the fuel gauge can update. A new cell at full charge holds the rail stable across that combined load.
Genio E550G not booting after new battery installed
A fresh Li-Polymer cell shipped in storage mode can sit below the minimum boot voltage the E550G requires to complete its POST sequence. If the device shows nothing on screen or cycles off immediately after pressing power, the cell has not yet reached operational voltage. Connect the OEM charger and leave the unit on charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. The BMS will accept charge even in this state — the device should boot normally once the cell reaches approximately 3.6V.
