This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Toshiba Portege 3010, 3015, 3020, and 3010CT notebook computers. It replaces OEM part numbers PA2457UR, PA2458UR, and PA2467UR. The connector, voltage rail, and BMS communication profile match the original cell pack used in these Portege models.
- Portege 3010 / 3015 / 3020 compatibility: These models share the same battery bay form factor, 10.8V rail requirement, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why a single cell pack covers all three. Swapping between them does not require a different firmware or connector adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on a Portege 3020 unit and monitored BMS cutoff thresholds. The protection circuit engaged correctly at both the low-voltage floor and high-voltage ceiling without error codes during the test sequence.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
The Portege BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and carries that data forward as a baseline. When a new cell is installed, the BIOS has no fresh learn-cycle data to compare against, so it flags the battery as degraded. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration gap. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the BIOS recalibrates and the health warning clears.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge estimates remaining charge based on the old cell's profile, and the new cell hits its low-voltage cliff earlier than the IC predicts — triggering an abrupt shutdown before the display reaches 0%. The fix is two to three full discharge-and-charge calibration cycles. After those cycles, the fuel gauge IC builds an accurate model of the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop. Check that the cell voltage at shutdown is not below 9.5V — if it is, the BMS is cutting off correctly and calibration is all that is needed.
