TP-Link Neffos A5 / TP7032A — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NBL-45A3000)
This is a 3.7V, 2600mAh (9.62Wh) Li-ion battery built to fit the TP-Link Neffos A5 and TP7032A smartphones. It replaces OEM part number NBL-45A3000 directly. If your original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this swap restores normal operation.
- Neffos A5 and TP7032A compatibility: Both model numbers share the same physical footprint, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — the TP7032A is the internal hardware designation for the Neffos A5 retail unit. One battery covers both references.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Neffos A5 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, thermal cutoff engaged correctly at upper voltage limits, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without interruption.

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a defective battery. When the modem fires during a call or the screen brightness spikes, the new cell experiences a brief high-current draw. If the fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated yet, it misreads the remaining capacity and the phone's protection circuit trips the shutdown. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off — let the phone drain to auto-shutdown, then charge slowly to 100%. After that cycle, the coulomb counter tracks the new cell's actual voltage curve and the premature cutoffs stop.

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still referencing the old data — so it may report 15% when the cell is actually at 35%, or jump from 40% to 10% with no warning. This isn't a fault in the replacement cell; it's the gauge recalibrating. Drain the phone completely until it shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard charge rate. One full cycle is usually enough to re-anchor the IC to the new cell's actual 3.7V nominal curve.
