When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws higher current to maintain suction, which pulls the cell voltage down faster than normal. The battery indicator reads charge state, not remaining run capacity — so it can still show adequate charge while the motor is already starved of voltage. Clean or replace the filter before assuming the battery is at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — usually a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — the motor works harder and draws current above the BMS threshold. The protection circuit cuts power to prevent cell damage. After a brief pause, voltage recovers and the vacuum restarts. Clear the blockage at the nozzle or filter first; if the cutout continues on a clean filter with a fresh battery, check the motor for wear.
