Twinbird HC-E202 Replacement Battery - Replaces 902446

$25.03In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Twinbird HC-E202, HC-E202W, HC-E22C, HC-EB02 handheld vacuums; replaces OEM part 902446.
  • 3.6V Ni-MH 2000mAh capacity delivers steady voltage output through debris pickup cycles without sag.
  • Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; no modification needed.
  • We bench-tested this cell in an HC-E202 — BMS accepted the pack immediately and delivered full current under motor load with no initial cutoff events.
  • Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously; Ni-MH cells charged without full discharge cycles develop capacity fade — charge fully and remove from dock between uses.

About this replacement

Twinbird HC-E202 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (902446)

This is a 3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Twinbird HC-E202 handheld cordless vacuum cleaner. It also fits the HC-E202W, HC-E22C, and HC-EB02 models. The OEM part number 902446 (also listed as HC-AF66) confirms the correct cell format and connector for this vacuum line.

  • HC-E202 series compatibility: The HC-E202, HC-E202W, HC-E22C, and HC-EB02 all run the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH pack with the same physical housing and connector. Swapping between these models uses this identical battery unit — same voltage rail, same form factor.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under simulated motor draw. The BMS held stable across repeated cycles, and the cell reached rated capacity without voltage drop-off during the test runs.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the HC-E202 sitting on the charging dock between uses. Ni-MH cells in low-draw vacuums like this one degrade faster from continuous trickle charge than from normal use cycles. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction fading before the battery indicator reaches low on the HC-E202

Ni-MH cells in compact vacuums deliver their rated capacity under clean airflow conditions. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws higher current to maintain suction, which pulls the cell voltage down faster than normal. The battery indicator reads charge state, not remaining run capacity — so it can still show adequate charge while the motor is already starved of voltage. Clean or replace the filter before assuming the battery is at fault.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — usually a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — the motor works harder and draws current above the BMS threshold. The protection circuit cuts power to prevent cell damage. After a brief pause, voltage recovers and the vacuum restarts. Clear the blockage at the nozzle or filter first; if the cutout continues on a clean filter with a fresh battery, check the motor for wear.
