MyGuide 3000 shutting off without a low-battery warning
This happens when the battery indicator is no longer calibrated to the actual cell chemistry — common with aged cells that have lost capacity through shallow cycling. The device's voltage threshold for shut-off is hit before the visual indicator has cycled through its warning stages. The fix is to run the new cell from full charge down to automatic cut-off once, then recharge fully. That single full cycle re-aligns the indicator against the real discharge curve of the replacement cell.
