Some DECT base stations read cell voltage before committing to a charge cycle. A pack that has self-discharged below roughly 2.0V during storage can fall under that acceptance threshold, causing the base to show an error or simply do nothing. Pull the handset out, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly — a full contact reset often triggers the charge circuit to retry. If the error persists, check that the contacts on the handset and base are clean and making solid connection.
