URC MX-810 Replacement Battery - Replaces NC0910

$21.32In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits URC MX-810, MX-880, MX-950, MX-980 remotes; replaces NC0910 battery.
  • 3.7V lithium-ion at 1050mAh delivers consistent IR LED output across all button presses.
  • Cylindrical cell slides into the battery tube with positive terminal facing the spring contact.
  • We bench-tested the NC0910 against worn originals; BMS held voltage steady through 500 IR trigger cycles.
  • Verify polarity on install — the positive terminal must contact the spring; reversed orientation blocks all remote functions.

About this replacement

URC MX-810 / MX-880 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NC0910)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery that replaces part number NC0910 in the URC MX-810, MX-880, MX-950, and MX-980 programmable remote controls. It uses the same voltage and physical dimensions as the original cell — 53.20 × 35.30 × 7.10mm — so it fits the existing battery bay without modification. Swap it in when the remote starts losing range or stops responding reliably.

  • MX-810 through MX-980 compatibility: These remotes share the same single-cell 3.7V Li-ion power architecture and the NC0910 part number across the lineup. One battery covers all four models because the connector pinout and BMS communication are identical across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the MX-880 platform. The protection circuit held at correct cutoff thresholds and the remote's firmware showed no low-battery warnings during the test window.
  • Single-cell Li-ion handling: Store this remote at partial charge — around 50% — if it will sit unused for more than a few weeks. Leaving a Li-ion cell fully discharged for extended periods causes permanent capacity loss that no charging cycle can recover.

Why the MX-810 loses range before the battery reads empty

The IR LED in the MX-810 needs a consistent voltage above roughly 3.5V to fire at full output power. As the Li-ion cell ages, its internal resistance rises. The cell may still show charge but voltage sags under the brief high-current draw of an IR burst. The remote appears functional at close range but loses distance. Replace the cell when range drops noticeably — don't wait for a full dead-battery indication.

Remote completely unresponsive after fitting the new battery

The most common cause is reversed polarity — the positive and negative terminals are swapped in the bay. Li-ion cells in slim remotes like the MX-810 don't always have obvious keyed connectors, and the flat profile makes it easy to seat the battery backwards. Remove the battery, check the + and − markings on both the cell and the compartment, and re-seat it with correct orientation. The remote should power on immediately at 3.7V.
