Urovo i6080 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HBL6000)
This is a 3.8V 3000mAh Li-ion replacement for the Urovo i6080 handheld barcode scanner. It fits the i6080 directly, using the same OEM part number HBL6000. Capacity is rated at 11.4Wh — matching the original cell spec.
- i6080 platform fit: The i6080 uses a dedicated battery bay with a proprietary contact layout and BMS handshake. This pack carries the HBL6000 designation, so the scanner firmware recognises it on boot without throwing a battery authentication error.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through scan-burst cycles and wireless polling loads on the i6080. The BMS held steady across both the imager trigger inrush and simultaneous Wi-Fi keepalive draw — no false low-voltage cutoffs.
- First-shift charge protocol: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle for a full cycle before pulling it into a pick-and-pack shift. The imager trigger inrush is highest when the cell is near minimum charge, and a fully conditioned pack prevents BMS trips during the first heavy-scan period.
Why the i6080 cradle shows a charging error on a new pack
Cradle charging errors on new packs are almost always a contact resistance issue, not a fault with the cell itself. The dock uses spring-loaded pins, and a new battery with slight oxidation or moulding residue on the contacts breaks the circuit enough to trigger the error. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery with a dry cloth, reseat the pack, and the cradle should resume the charge cycle normally. If the error persists, check that the cradle pins are not bent or recessed.
Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
Rapid scan sequences on the i6080 stack the imager inrush current on top of the Wi-Fi radio polling load. If the cell voltage sags below the radio module's minimum threshold during that combined draw, the wireless stack drops and requires a reconnect. This happens most with a partially depleted battery — the voltage sag is steepest in the lower 20% of charge. Keep the pack above 3.5V per cell during active shifts to avoid this drop-out.
