The i9100 is a barcode scanner used in warehouse, logistics, and retail pick-and-pack operations. Voltage and cell count match the original, so the BMS handshake proceeds without errors on a charged pack.

The i9100 runs both a wireless radio and a scan trigger from the same cell. If the cell voltage dips below the BMS protection threshold — typically around 3.0V under load — the BMS trips and the radio drops before the device fully powers off. A fresh, fully charged 5200mAh cell holds the voltage rail steadier under that combined load than a degraded original pack would.

A charging error on the cradle display after a battery swap almost always points to contact resistance, not a faulty cell. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery base and the corresponding pins inside the cradle slot with a dry cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until it clicks. If the error clears within 30 seconds of reseating, the contacts were the cause. If the error persists, confirm the cradle output voltage at the pins — it should read 4.2–4.5V DC before dismissing the pack as the fault.
