The V5000S is a handheld scanner used in warehouse, logistics, and retail environments where the battery takes sustained daily load from both the scan engine and wireless radio.

- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through scan-burst cycles on the V5000S, monitoring BMS response under combined scan trigger and wireless radio draw. The BMS held without tripping on repeated inrush events, and cell voltage recovery between bursts stayed within spec.

The V5000S cradle checks contact resistance before opening the charge circuit. If the gold contacts on the battery or the dock pins have oxidation or debris, the dock sees high resistance and flags a fault rather than charging. This is not a battery fault — it is a contact fault. Wipe the battery contacts and dock pins with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and the charge indicator should switch to normal within 30 seconds.

During a fast scan sequence, the V5000S draws current simultaneously from the imager and the wireless radio. If the cell voltage sags below the radio module's minimum operating threshold under that combined load, the radio resets mid-session — the scanner appears to freeze or lose its network session. This typically happens when the battery is below 20% state of charge. Keep the pack above that level during high-frequency scan runs, or swap the battery before starting a dense pick task.
