VECTRON Mobilepro Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (6801570551)
This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion battery for the VECTRON Mobilepro, Mobilepro 2, Mobilepro II, and B30 payment terminals. It replaces the original cell when capacity fade starts cutting wireless transaction sessions short. Dimensions are 61.10 × 37.51 × 12.64mm — confirm these against your existing cell before fitting.
- Mobilepro and B30 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell covers all four variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the battery through charge cycles on Mobilepro hardware and confirmed BMS handshake, charge acceptance, and stable voltage output under combined wireless, display, and printer load.
- First deployment cycle: After fitting, complete one full transaction cycle before putting the terminal into a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.
Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap
The Mobilepro's receipt printer draws a sharp current spike the moment it fires — this is the highest instantaneous load the battery sees during normal use. On a new cell that hasn't completed a full charge-discharge cycle, the BMS can read that spike as an overcurrent event and trip the protection circuit. The terminal loses power momentarily, which the operating system logs as an unplanned reboot. Run two or three complete transaction cycles including a printed receipt to let the BMS settle its overcurrent threshold correctly.
Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer
Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If the original battery dropped below roughly 2.5V while stored, the BMS locks the cell out to prevent damage — and a flat cell in a drawer can reach that point in a few months. Connect the terminal to its dock or charge cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits on this platform will accept a trickle charge at that voltage and recover the cell enough to allow a normal boot. If the terminal still shows no response after 30 minutes on charge, check the dock contacts and confirm the charger output is 5V.
