This 3.7V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the internal cell in the Accuvein AV500 Illuminator. The AV500 is a handheld near-infrared vein visualization device used clinically for venipuncture and IV placement. It fits OEM part numbers 110-00003, 120074-O, ACCUAVBA500, and BA500.
- AV500 Illuminator compatibility: The AV500 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a BMS that handshakes with the device's charge IC at startup. This replacement cell matches the OEM voltage rail and connector pinout, so the charge circuit recognises it without modification.

Why the AV500 charge indicator stalls below 100% on a new cell
The AV500's charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it first encounters a cell it hasn't profiled. On a new Li-ion cell, the IC may terminate the charge cycle early because the internal resistance reading doesn't yet match the OEM baseline. This isn't a fault — it resolves after one complete charge-discharge cycle. After that first cycle, the IC recalibrates its termination threshold and the indicator reaches 100% normally.
Device not completing boot sequence after cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery's resting voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V before installation, the AV500's BMS may block startup entirely — it treats sub-threshold voltage as a damaged cell to protect the device's sensitive optical components. Connect the device to its charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. This allows the charge IC to apply a pre-charge trickle that brings the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically 2.8–3.0V.
