This is an 11.1V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Venture Heat heated clothing, fitting the ZMCB2200 and MC-1645 models. It restores heating function to jackets, vests, and gloves that have lost capacity after repeated charge cycles. Voltage and connector match the OEM 1122B spec.
- ZMCB2200 and MC-1645 compatibility: Both models use the same 11.1V three-cell configuration and share an identical connector and BMS communication protocol, which is why one battery serves both garment platforms without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through all three heat settings and monitored BMS response. The protection circuit handled sustained current draw on the highest setting without tripping, and cell balance stayed within spec across full discharge.
- First-use heat setting protocol: Start on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes on a new battery. The heating elements pull significant current at maximum, and a short warm-up period before full-power operation lets the cells stabilise from their storage state.
Heated jacket not reaching full heat level on a new battery
Li-ion cells ship in a partial charge state, typically 40–60% capacity. At that charge level, the pack voltage may sit below the threshold the controller needs to activate the highest heat setting. A full charge cycle before first use brings the pack to the 12.6V peak the controller expects. Once fully charged, the highest setting should activate without issue.
Heating element cutting out mid-use on maximum setting
The BMS has an overcurrent protection threshold. On maximum heat, the elements draw sustained high current, and if the cells are cold — below 5°C — internal resistance rises sharply, pushing the draw past the BMS trip point. The controller cuts power to protect the cells, not because the battery is faulty. Keep the battery pack tucked against your body rather than in an exposed outer pocket, and the cutouts will stop.
