Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The Quick & Clean's motor controller reduces power output when cell voltage sags under load — this happens before the indicator registers low. A clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which accelerates the voltage drop. The BMS interprets this as a low-cell condition and throttles output. Clean or replace the filter first, then check whether suction holds steady under normal carpet load.
Motor cuts out briefly then restarts during use
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or heavy carpet fibres — the motor draws a sustained current spike above the cell's rated limit. The BMS opens the discharge circuit to protect the cell, then resets after a few seconds. Clear the blockage, check the filter, and confirm the nozzle is unobstructed before restarting.
