Vileda Quick & Clean — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (8654396211)
This is a 3.7V 3400mAh Li-ion battery for the Vileda Quick & Clean cordless handheld vacuum. It fits the Quick & Clean and VI409842 models. When the original cell loses charge capacity or stops holding a charge entirely, this replacement restores the vacuum to full working order.
- Quick & Clean and VI409842 compatibility: Both models run the same 3.7V motor rail and share the 8654396211 cell format. The connector type, BMS handshake, and physical envelope are identical across this range, so one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Quick & Clean platform. The BMS responded correctly to both low-voltage cutoff and charge termination — no false trips or charge refusal on the stock charger.
- Dock charging behaviour on this model: The Quick & Clean dock does not cut power when the cell reaches full charge. Leaving the vacuum on the dock permanently causes trickle charge heat buildup inside the cell. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects under load. A partially blocked filter increases resistance at the fan, which spikes current draw and causes the BMS to reduce output voltage to protect the cell. The result is noticeable suction loss even with charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the cell is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or heavily loaded carpet, current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the circuit opens. The motor stops, the BMS resets after a few seconds, and it starts again. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and confirm the cell voltage reads above 3.5V on a multimeter before assuming the battery needs replacing.
