This is a 9.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Visonic wireless alarm systems. It fits models 0-100459, 0-100498, 0-100535, and 0-5466-8, among others. The battery provides backup power to keep wireless sensors and alarm components active when mains power is interrupted.

- Post-install panel communication: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after swapping this cell. The panel's charge controller needs 24–48 hours at float charge before the battery status register reports accurately. Testing before that window often triggers a false low-battery alert on the panel display.
Alarm panel losing programming during a power outage after battery swap
A freshly installed Ni-MH cell does not immediately act as a conditioned backup. The panel's charge controller must first complete a full acceptance cycle — typically 48 hours on mains — before the battery can sustain panel memory during a blackout. If you replace the cell and a mains outage occurs within that window, the panel may lose zone programming and revert to default settings. Restore mains power, allow a full 48-hour charge cycle, then verify retained programming before the next scheduled test.

Visonic panels monitor the housing lid via a tamper switch that trips if the cover is not seated fully. After swapping the battery, if the lid or back cover is even slightly ajar, the panel logs a tamper fault and may trigger a local alert. Check that all housing clips are fully engaged and the cover sits flush before closing the app or control panel. A properly closed housing clears the tamper flag within 10–30 seconds without any panel reset required.
