This 3.7V, 3300mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Visual Land Prestige Elite 9Q 9" (ME-9Q) Android tablet. It fits directly into the existing battery bay and connects to the same board-mounted connector. Use the OEM part number PL2784120 to confirm fitment before ordering.
- Prestige Elite 9Q and ME-9Q compatibility: Both model designations reference the same 9-inch hardware platform. The mainboard, charge IC, and connector orientation are identical across these variants, so one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 9Q mainboard and confirmed the charge IC accepted the new cell without fault codes. The BMS reported normal voltage curves across the full state-of-charge range.
- Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference cycle against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear after a battery swap.
Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery swap
When the display and Wi-Fi radio run simultaneously, combined current draw causes a sharper voltage drop than the fuel gauge IC expects at that reported state of charge. The fuel gauge was calibrated to the old, degraded cell and its voltage curve no longer matches the new one. This mismatch makes the IC interpret a mid-range voltage as critically low, triggering an emergency shutoff. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this resets the reference points and the shutoffs stop occurring above roughly 10%.
Android showing wrong battery percentage after replacement
The fuel gauge IC stores learned capacity data from the previous cell in non-volatile memory. When a new cell goes in, that stored data is still active and produces percentage readings that jump, stall, or never reach 100%. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch between old learned data and the new cell's actual voltage curve. Clear it by letting the tablet discharge fully to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 4.2V (100%) before switching it back on.
