Why this battery

  • Fits Vivint Smart Hub Control Panel model VS-SH2000-C00, replaces OEM part numbers 12047088-00 and 10-600013-001.
  • 3.8V, 5100mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 19.38Wh backup capacity for alarm and automation continuity.
  • Connector seats into the Smart Hub's internal slot with fixed orientation; no external locking tab.
  • We bench-tested the cell on Vivint's float charger; BMS accepted the charge curve within 2 hours.
  • Do not run a zone test until 24–48 hours after installation — the panel requires full float conditioning before reporting accurate battery status.

About this replacement

Vivint Smart Hub Control Panel — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (12047088-00)

This 3.8V, 5100mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the backup battery in the Vivint Smart Hub Control Panel (VS-SH2000-C00). It keeps the panel live during mains outages so the alarm system continues monitoring and communicating. Replace when the panel logs repeated low-battery events or fails to hold charge through a short outage.

  • Smart Hub VS-SH2000-C00 compatibility: Both listed model designations — Smart Hub Control Panel and VS-SH2000-C00 — share the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. OEM part numbers 12047088-00 and 10-600013-001 reference the same cell across production runs.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Smart Hub platform. The panel BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge circuit held float voltage correctly through the conditioning window.
  • Post-install panel stabilisation: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. The panel BMS needs 24–48 hours on float charge before its battery reporting is accurate. Testing too soon will trigger a false low-battery fault even from a healthy, full cell.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell

The Vivint Smart Hub does not report battery status from a raw voltage reading alone — it uses a BMS conditioning window to confirm cell health. A freshly installed cell at partial charge will trip the low-battery threshold until the panel completes its first full float cycle. This is not a faulty battery. Leave the hub on mains power for 24–48 hours and the fault will clear once the panel registers a stable 3.8V float.

Alarm losing programming during a power outage after battery swap

If the hub loses its configuration during an outage shortly after a battery replacement, the new cell has not yet been accepted by the panel as a conditioned backup source. The BMS will not commit to powering the panel from a cell it has not fully validated. Fit the new battery, keep the hub on mains power for a full 48-hour conditioning period, then simulate an outage by pulling the mains supply — the panel should hold its programming and stay operational.
