Vivo IQOO Z6 5G — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-T6)
This 3.87V Li-Polymer cell replaces the original B-T6 battery in the Vivo IQOO Z6 5G and I2127. Capacity is 4900mAh (18.96Wh), matching the factory specification. It restores power to the display, Snapdragon processor, and 5G modem stack.
- IQOO Z6 5G and I2127 fit: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The B-T6 part number covers both variants — one cell, same voltage rail, same NTC thermistor line.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on the IQOO Z6 5G platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes. Charge IC stepped through trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases cleanly at rated voltage.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the IQOO Z6 5G after a cell swap
The IQOO Z6 5G's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. When the new cell is installed, that curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The 5G modem and display draw current spikes that cause the new cell's voltage to dip below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the OS still reads 25%. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging. After that cycle the gauge IC re-anchors its curve to the new cell and shutdowns at low percentage stop.
USB-PD or Vivo FlashCharge not triggering on the first charge cycle after replacement
Proprietary fast-charge protocols require a handshake between the charger IC and the battery BMS. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS may start in a conservative mode and refuse the high-current negotiation on the first cycle. Plug in the original Vivo charger and leave the phone on a standard slow charge to 100% without interrupting it. After the first full cycle completes, fast charging resumes because the BMS has finished its initial validation sequence and accepted the charger's voltage step-up request.
