This 3.8V, 400mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the TLp004D1 battery in the Vodafone Disney Neo smartwatch. It restores power to the display, heart rate sensor, and Bluetooth connectivity after the original cell has worn or depleted. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — 1.52Wh total energy.
- Disney Neo platform fit: The Neo uses a compact 25.50 × 24.60 × 6.10mm cell pocket with a fixed connector orientation tied to the fuel gauge IC. Any cell outside these dimensions or with a mismatched connector tab will fail to seat or register charge state correctly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Neo platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the fuel gauge recalibrated correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
- Post-swap charge requirement: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The Neo's fuel gauge IC loses its charge reference when the original cell is removed — without a full charge cycle from near-zero, the percentage display will read incorrectly.
Why the Disney Neo shows 0% immediately after a battery swap
The Neo uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state relative to a stored reference point. When you disconnect the old cell, that reference is wiped. The IC has no baseline to work from, so it defaults to reporting 0% or refuses to display a reading at all. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Charge the watch fully to 100% on its magnetic charger before turning it on — that single full cycle re-establishes the gauge reference and the percentage display returns to normal.
Disney Neo battery draining in under a day instead of multiple days
A 400mAh cell in a children's smartwatch is a tight energy budget. If the always-on display setting is active alongside continuous heart rate monitoring, current draw climbs sharply and will deplete this cell well inside 24 hours. Check the watch settings app and switch the display to gesture-wake mode rather than always-on. Turning heart rate monitoring to periodic rather than continuous typically drops background draw enough to restore multi-day use on a single charge.
