An aged or mismatched cell collapses voltage faster than the gauge anticipates, so the device hits the 3.0V hardware cutoff before the on-screen indicator reaches the warning threshold. The unit simply powers off mid-round with no visual alert. After fitting a fresh GN452528 cell, run two full charge-discharge cycles so the fuel gauge can re-calibrate its low-voltage warning against the new cell's actual curve.
