- WAY-S and MTT 1510 shared platform: These two printers share the same battery bay, contact layout, and BMS handshake protocol. The printer's firmware reads cell voltage at startup — both models accept the same 7.4V nominal signal without triggering a mismatch fault.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the MTT 1510 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly, thermal head draw stayed within current limits, and the paper feed motor received consistent torque through the full discharge curve.

Portable printer feed motors require this sequence so the BMS can calibrate its current profile against real load — skipping it can cause premature low-battery warnings under motor draw.
Why the MTT 1510 stops printing after sitting unused for weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the MTT 1510 sits long enough, cell voltage drops below the printer's minimum motor-drive threshold — typically around 6.8V for this class of device. At that point the printer powers on but sends no signal to the thermal head or feed motor. The BMS has not failed; it is simply blocking output to protect the cell. Plug in and charge for at least 90 minutes before attempting a print job.
Bluetooth dropping mid-print on the WAY-S
The WAY-S radio module draws a short current spike each time it transmits print data. At low battery charge, voltage sags during that spike and the radio resets, ending the connection before the job completes. This is not a pairing fault — it is a voltage-floor issue. Charge the battery above 50% before starting multi-page or label-batch jobs, and the sag stays within the radio module's tolerance band.
