Welch-Allyn Connex 6000 Vital Signs Monitor — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BATT69 / BATT99)
This 11.1V, 10200mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Welch-Allyn Connex 6000 Vital Signs Monitor and the Connex Spot Vital Signs 7100 and 7300 series. It fits the same connector and BMS handshake points as the original BATT69 and BATT99 packs. Capacity is sourced from product data — 113.22Wh total stored energy.
- Connex 6000 and Connex Spot platform fit: These models share a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One replacement pack covers the full platform without adapter modifications or firmware workarounds.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and load on the Connex platform. The BMS completed its initialisation handshake on first insertion, and the charge IC accepted the cell without triggering a fault flag.
- Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the Connex device to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The BMS runs a chemistry verification at startup — cutting power mid-sequence causes a persistent false battery fault that will not clear until the next clean reboot.
Connex 6000 not completing boot sequence on a new battery
The Connex 6000 runs a BMS verification step during boot. On a new cell, the BMS has no stored charge history, so it applies conservative thresholds before passing the self-test. If the device stalls or loops during startup, the BMS has flagged an unrecognised charge state. One full charge-to-discharge cycle gives the BMS the data it needs to calibrate. After that cycle, boot completes cleanly on every subsequent power-on.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on first charge after swap
The Connex charge IC applies a reduced current ceiling on the first charge of a new or replaced cell. This is a built-in protection behaviour — not a fault. The display may plateau at 95–98% and hold there for an extended period before the IC declares the cycle complete. Let the charge run uninterrupted until the device confirms full charge internally. On the second charge cycle, the IC adjusts its ceiling and the indicator reaches 100% at the expected rate.
