Wiko Cink / Cink+ — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CINK+)
This 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Wiko Cink and Cink+ smartphones. It fits both models directly, restoring power to the display, processor, and wireless radios. Capacity is 1400mAh (5.18Wh) — matching the stock specification.
- Cink and Cink+ platform fit: Both the Cink and Cink+ share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. The 65.10 × 44.00 × 4.50mm cell seats flush in either chassis without modification to the connector or housing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Cink+ unit. The BMS accepted charge correctly, balancing voltage across the cell without triggering a protection cutoff. No anomalous heat at the charge IC during the test cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After swapping the cell, disable fast charging for the first full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings in the first week of use.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Wiko Cink after a cell swap
The Cink's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve learned from the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance and voltage-versus-capacity profile. When the phone estimates 20–30% remaining using the old curve, the actual open-circuit voltage may already be near the 3.0V cutoff threshold under modem and screen load. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, followed by a full charge — this forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual curve.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and refuses to pass current to the phone — the device will show no response on the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it undisturbed for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. This gives the charge IC time to trickle enough current into the cell to lift it above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8V.
