Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the U Feel Prime after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A new cell that hasn't been calibrated into the fuel gauge IC can hit a voltage sag the phone interprets as a dead battery — even when charge remains. The fix is one full standard-rate discharge-charge cycle, which lets the coulomb counter re-anchor its low-voltage threshold to the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop.
U Feel Prime not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the TLP16L08 cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS protection circuit locks out to prevent damage — the phone shows nothing when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which the phone will boot normally.
