Wiko View Max — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP18C14P)
This is a 3.8V, 2800mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Wiko View Max smartphone. It replaces OEM part TLP18C14P and restores power to devices with dead or severely degraded cells. Capacity is rated at 10.64Wh, matching the original specification.
- View Max battery platform: The View Max uses a fixed connector and a BMS that handshakes with the device's charge IC. This cell matches the voltage rail and connector pinout the board expects. A mismatch here causes the phone to ignore the battery entirely or show a charging error.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a View Max board. The BMS accepted the charge profile without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state of charge across the full cycle without dropping out.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the View Max after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell hits a steeper voltage drop under modem or display load, and the system interprets that drop as an emergency cutoff — not an accurate state of charge. The phone shuts down even though the coulomb counter still reads 20–30%. One full discharge and charge cycle without interruption resets the counter and maps the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, shutdown behaviour typically aligns with the percentage shown.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage has dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage — and the phone will show nothing when you press power. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC applies a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the BMS re-initialises and normal charging resumes.
