Shears stop cutting mid-session — what's happening and how to fix it
If the blades stall or the tool cuts out before the battery feels depleted, the Ni-MH cells have likely developed voltage depression from repeated shallow charges. The BMS reads a false "full" state and cuts power early. Fix it by fully discharging the pack — let the shears run until the tool stops — then charge completely. Two or three deep cycles usually restore normal behaviour.
