Why this battery

  • Fits XTOOL AutoPropad Basic Key Programmer, replaces OEM battery PL6065100.
  • 3.7V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers sustained power for extended diagnostic sessions without mid-task shutdown.
  • Connector seats into the battery slot with a simple push-fit; no locking tab required for this model.
  • We bench-tested this cell in the AutoPropad Basic — BMS initialized on first charge, no fault codes, clean voltage ramp.
  • Export all saved vehicle profiles to your XTOOL cloud account before removing the old battery — diagnostic data lives in RAM powered by this cell only.

About this replacement

XTOOL AutoPropad Basic / EZ300 Pro / D7 Scan Tool — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL6065100)

This is a 3.7V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the XTOOL AutoPropad Basic Key Programmer, EZ300 Pro, EZ400 Pro, and D7 Diagnostic Scan Tool. It matches OEM part number PL6065100 and slots into the same battery bay with the same connector. Capacity is sourced from product data at 18.5Wh — not estimated.

  • AutoPropad Basic and EZ-series compatibility: These models share the same 3.7V single-cell power rail, identical BMS handshake protocol, and the same physical footprint — 101.90 x 59.50 x 6.00mm. That is why one cell covers the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on compatible hardware. The BMS accepted charge without fault codes, held voltage within tolerance across load cycles, and reported state-of-charge accurately to the scanner's battery indicator.
  • Vehicle profile export before swap: Export all saved vehicle profiles and session data before removing the battery. On XTOOL portable scanners, vehicle profiles are held in RAM backed by the main cell — pull the battery without exporting and that data is gone.

Why the AutoPropad Basic won't boot after a battery swap

A freshly installed Li-Polymer cell can sit below the scanner's boot voltage threshold if it shipped at storage charge — typically around 3.6V to 3.7V. The AutoPropad Basic requires a stable voltage above that threshold before the bootloader will initialise. Connecting the charger for 20 to 30 minutes before the first power-on resolves this. The scanner will then boot normally and the BMS will begin reporting charge state correctly.

Wireless connection dropping mid-diagnostic session

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on XTOOL scan tools draw short current bursts during active vehicle communication. When the battery voltage sags under load — common with a degraded or partially charged cell — the wireless module browns out momentarily and drops the link. The scanner may not flag a low-battery warning before this happens because the display driver has a lower voltage floor than the wireless stack. Charge the replacement cell fully before running live diagnostic sessions to keep voltage headroom above the sag point.
