It delivers 7200mAh (25.92Wh) of capacity to sustain continuous GPS tracking and position reporting. Li-MnO2 chemistry holds a flat discharge curve across varying temperatures, which matters for field-deployed trackers.

After fitting a fresh ER14505M-3, the tracker re-learns the voltage profile over the first full discharge cycle. Expect the warning indicator to behave more predictably from the second cycle onward.

GPS accuracy dropping during active navigation on the EG-IoT

Some Ercogener units reduce GPS receiver sensitivity at voltages below approximately 3.2V to protect against hard shutdown. This cuts the number of satellites the receiver tracks, which widens the position error circle. If accuracy degrades noticeably before the low-battery alert fires, the cell is closer to depletion than the indicator suggests. Replace the ER14505M-3 once voltage at the cell terminals reads below 3.2V under load.
