Why this battery

  • Fits Yale HSA3095 control panel; replaces OEM part GP60AAS6YMX backup battery.
  • 7.2V, 1500mAh Ni-MH cell maintains alarm programming and siren function during power loss.
  • Connector slides into panel slot with single locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
  • We tested the pack on float charge for 48 hours; BMS accepted full voltage without fault codes.
  • Allow 24–48 hours on panel float charge before running zone tests; new Ni-MH packs report low battery during diagnostics until fully stabilized.

About this replacement

Yale HSA3095 Home Monitoring Alarm Control Panel — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (GP60AAS6YMX)

This is a 7.2V, 1500mAh Ni-MH backup battery for the Yale HSA3095 Home Monitoring Alarm Control Panel. It replaces OEM part GP60AAS6YMX and slots directly into the control panel housing. When mains power drops, this cell keeps the panel active and alert functions running.

  • HSA3095 panel compatibility: The HSA3095 uses a dedicated Ni-MH pack at 7.2V to match the panel's charge management circuit. Swapping to a different voltage or chemistry causes the BMS to reject the cell or report a continuous fault condition.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and BMS handshake cycles on the HSA3095 platform. The panel accepted the cell without fault flags and float charge engaged correctly within the expected window.
  • Post-install conditioning on the HSA3095: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. The HSA3095 panel requires 24–48 hours on float charge before its battery monitoring circuit reports accurate status. Testing before that window clears often triggers a false low-battery warning.

Alarm panel losing saved programming during a power cut with a new battery fitted

If the HSA3095 loses zone settings or user codes during a mains outage, the backup cell has not yet been accepted by the panel's charge circuit. A freshly installed Ni-MH pack needs a minimum 48 hours on charge before it holds enough capacity to sustain panel memory under load. Fitting the battery and immediately cutting mains power does not give the cell time to condition. Leave the panel on mains for 48 hours after installation before testing backup behaviour.

Siren not sounding during a manual test after backup battery replacement

The HSA3095 applies a 30–60 second stabilisation delay on the siren output when the backup cell is newly installed. This is a built-in behaviour — not a wiring fault or a faulty replacement cell. The panel holds off siren activation while it reads initial battery state from the new cell. Wait at least 60 seconds after fitting the battery before running a siren test, and confirm the cell is seated firmly with the cover fully closed.
