ET6X shutting down at 15–25% battery remaining
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to an old, degraded cell. The new cell holds a higher actual charge at any given reported percentage, but the voltage curve the tablet references is wrong. Under combined display and WiFi load, voltage drops faster than the tablet expects at that percentage, triggering a low-voltage protection shutoff. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this re-maps the voltage curve to the new cell and stops the early cutoff.
Fast charging not available after battery replacement on ET6X
The ET6X charge IC uses a negotiation handshake before engaging fast charge mode. On a brand-new cell, this handshake sometimes does not complete on the first cycle — the tablet defaults to standard charge as a safety fallback. Allow the first charge cycle to complete fully at standard rate without interrupting it. On the second charge, fast charge typically re-engages once the charge IC has logged one accepted full cycle against the new cell's parameters.
