- MC45 platform fit: The MC45 uses a dedicated battery bay with a three-contact interface that routes power to both the main board and the internal radio module. This pack matches that connector geometry and voltage rail, so the BMS handshake completes on first insertion without error codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through scan-trigger and wireless polling loads on the MC45 bench unit. The BMS held stable through combined radio transmit and imager activation without tripping into protection mode.
- First-shift preparation on the MC45: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before deploying it on a pick-and-pack shift. The scan trigger draws its highest inrush current when the cell is near its minimum state of charge — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first hour of use.

The MC45 cradle reads battery status through the three gold contacts on the pack's base. If those contacts have oxidation or residue from handling, the dock reports a charging fault even though the pack itself is fine. Wipe the contacts on both the battery and the cradle slot with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the pack firmly until it clicks. The cradle should switch to a normal charge indicator within 30 seconds.

During a fast scan sequence, the MC45 pulls current for the imager and the 802.11 radio at the same time. If the cell voltage sags below the radio module's minimum operating threshold — typically around 3.4V under load — the wireless link drops momentarily before the BMS can respond. This usually points to a heavily degraded original pack rather than a fault with the replacement. After fitting this battery, run a short scan burst near a known access point and confirm the wireless indicator stays solid throughout.
