- Apollo N3 platform fit: The Apollo N3 runs a 3-cell series Li-ion configuration at 11.1V nominal. This replacement matches that cell arrangement and the BMS handshake protocol the device expects at power-on. A mismatch in either causes the device to reject the pack at the self-test stage.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the Apollo N3 power-on self-test sequence and monitored BMS communication throughout. The Apollo N3 boot sequence includes a BMS handshake that verifies cell chemistry and state-of-charge before allowing full operation. A new cell that has been in storage may present a resting voltage below the threshold the device expects at first boot, causing the sequence to stall or abort. This is not a faulty battery — it is the device's safety check responding to a partially discharged pack. Charge the battery fully to 12.6V before the first installation attempt.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge cycle
The Apollo N3's charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it first encounters a new cell pack, which means the initial charge cycle may terminate early and show 95–98% on the indicator. This is the charge controller calibrating to the new cell's internal resistance profile — it is not a sign of reduced capacity. Run one full charge-discharge cycle and the charge IC recalibrates. The indicator will reach 100% from the second cycle onward.
